Dear Friends of the Virginia FBLA-PBL Foundation,
Thank you for another exciting year with Virginia FBLA-PBL Foundation,
Inc. As a result of your efforts, the Foundation raised over $22,000
which is our best single year in the last five years! This brings
the total monetary receipts to date to $231,300. The impact of
this cumulative effort allowed us to distribute $11,500 to students
to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Chicago. One
hundred six students were distributed funds and represented us
well. PBL members placed in five events and FBLA placed in 27
events. Finally, through the efforts of Foundation's "Go
for the Glow" campaign, Life membership grew to 4 PBL Chapters,
3 FBLA Regions, 55 FBLA Chapters, and 20 Individuals and Businesses.
The challenges ahead for the Foundation are clear. This year
alone, the National association has created seven new events for
our students to compete in at the National Leadership Conference.
We need to be there for our students!
We have created the 2010 Vision, a three-year plan to increase
the receipts into the Foundation by $50,000 by March of 2010.
At this level of funding, we increase the annual distribution
by 50 percent and increase funding for Leadership Development
to $1,000 each for FBLA and PBL. To reach this vision, we need
your continued support. The needs have never been greater.
Thank you again for your involvement in the Virginia FBLA-PBL
Foundation. We look forward to working with you to support the
financial needs of Virginia FBLA-PBL students as they continue
to demonstrate Leadership in Action!
